A new consortium aims to set standards for Internet of Things

Who will set the connectivity standards for a market that is estimated to be worth of $7.1 trillion in 2020?

A new consortium consisting of Samsung, Intel, Dell, Atmel and Broadcom have joined forces to launch the Open Interconnect Consortium (OIC), an organization that will set standards for connecting billions of household gadgets and appliances.
